Overall, the Eaglettes went 5-1 on the week, with wins over Saltillo, Whitehouse, Malakoff, Mount Pleasant (Chapel Hill), and Edgewood, and their only loss coming in the championship game to the hosting Winnsboro Lady Raiders.

The Canton Eaglettes basketball team entered the 202223 season under new reign, as Troy Carrell takes over the head coach position after spending the past 12 seasons at Woodville High School. At the time of being hired by Canton, Carrell boasted a 369-122 overall record, featuring trips to the State Tournament in 2019 and 2020.
